Petane Station Gewürztraminer Rosé 2016
This unique wine was dreamed up one midsummer’s evening between two wine friends - Philip Barber from Petane Station and Jules van Costello from Dirtoir. The result is this delightful spicy rosé, made from gewürztraminer that has undergone extended skin contact to extract more colour and flavour and finished with a splash of syrah. With hand picked grapes from Petane Station’s Bellbird block, gentle basket pressing has teased out a big hit of orange peel on the nose, ginger spice and jasmine in the background and strawberries and cream on the palate.
